Dr. LaShaun Daniels-Edney
Lead Therapist & Clinical Supervisor
I believe therapy is more than a conversation—it’s a sacred space where you can feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal. With over a decade of experience, I use a faith-based, integrative approach that honors the connection between mental health and spirituality, because true healing happens when the whole person is cared for—mind, body, and spirit.
I am especially passionate about walking alongside Black and Brown communities, with a heart for women of color navigating trauma, grief, depression, postpartum transitions, bariatric adjustments, and the heavy weight of systemic oppression. Too often, these struggles are carried in silence. My role is to help break that silence by creating a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and authentic space where you can share your truth, release what feels heavy, and begin to see your own resilience. Together, we’ll explore what healing looks like for you, and I’ll walk with you as you reclaim joy, dignity, and strength.
Outside of therapy, I find balance and grounding through family, community, and learning. I value joy, connection, and growth—not just for myself, but for every person I serve. My hope is that each client who sits with me leaves knowing they are not alone, and that healing and transformation are always possible.

What can clients expect in a session with you?
In our sessions, you’ll find a warm, culturally sensitive, and down-to-earth space where your unique experiences are honored. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and real—I invite you to show up as your authentic self. Together, we may explore deep emotions, practice coping strategies, or simply create room for you to be heard. My hope is that you leave each session feeling supported, empowered, and free to heal at your own pace.
How do you incorporate faith or spirituality into your sessions?
For clients who desire it, I integrate spirituality as a source of resilience and strength. This might look like reflecting on faith practices, exploring how spirituality shapes your coping, or creating space to lean on beliefs for guidance and healing. I approach this with respect, ensuring faith is always honored in a way that aligns with your values and comfort.
What inspires you about the work you do?
I am inspired daily by the resilience of Black and Brown communities who continue to rise in the face of systemic barriers, trauma, and oppression. This work is my calling—my ministry and my mission—driven not by profit but by purpose. I consider it a blessing to walk with clients as they reclaim joy, dignity, and strength, while holding onto the hope of a greater kingdom reward. And yes—healing work can hold space for joy and laughter, too.
What is your approach as a clinical supervisor?
As a supervisor, I create a supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment. I work alongside clinicians to strengthen their skills, deepen cultural competence, and build confidence, while encouraging reflection and ethical practice. My goal is to tailor supervision to each clinician’s needs, empowering them to grow into compassionate, effective providers who feel both prepared and inspired to serve their communities.
