Gabrielle Tynes-Labonte
Lead Therapist
I believe therapy is a place where you can reset, rebuild, and step into growth with support and compassion. My passion for this work comes from a lifelong curiosity about people’s stories and the many perspectives that shape who we are. I often think of therapy as creating a tapestry—woven together by both client and clinician—as we build resilience, uncover strengths, and embrace change in ways that are meaningful and lasting.
My approach is eclectic and always tailored to your unique needs. I often draw from CBT and DBT to support emotional regulation and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, while also incorporating bibliotherapy for those who find comfort and clarity in written reflection. I believe that therapy should never feel “one-size-fits-all,” so I collaborate closely with clients to identify their goals, explore creative solutions, and practice strategies that align with their values and strengths. My role is to walk alongside you—offering patience, support, and encouragement—while helping you discover new ways to navigate challenges and create balance in your life.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in creative outlets like reading, writing poetry, knitting, crocheting, coloring, and painting. Creativity is a grounding force for me, and it shapes the way I show up as a therapist: with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to see things from different angles. Above all, I want every client to feel safe, understood, and empowered to move toward a fuller, healthier, and more hopeful future.

What can clients expect in a session with you?
My approach is client-centered and eclectic, always tailored to your needs and goals. You can expect our sessions to feel collaborative—we’ll set goals together, track your progress, and adjust as needed. Typically, sessions may start with check-ins or updates, move into practicing coping skills or strategies like CBT or DBT, and conclude with setting intentions or homework for the week. My hope is that each session leaves you feeling supported, equipped, and encouraged.
How do you incorporate faith or spirituality into your sessions?
For clients who wish to bring faith into therapy, I welcome those conversations with openness and respect. As a Christian, I may draw on biblical principles or share scripture when it feels appropriate and aligned with a client’s needs. My goal is always to integrate spirituality in a way that feels authentic, helpful, and supportive to the client’s journey.
What inspires you about the work you do?
Becoming a therapist has been one of the best decisions of my life. After years of working with youth and families in foster care and as a teacher, I realized that supporting emotional well-being was where my heart truly belonged. Walking alongside clients—from youth to adults—on their path toward fuller, healthier lives is a privilege I don’t take lightly. Helping others find their voice, reclaim their strength, and move toward healing is what inspires me every day.
What makes your approach different?
I view therapy as a collaborative process where both client and clinician bring valuable perspectives. My style blends structure with flexibility—I use evidence-based strategies while also honoring creativity and personal expression, whether through conversation, reflection, or even bibliotherapy. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I balance practical tools with genuine compassion, creating a space that feels safe, empowering, and uniquely tailored to them.
