Since 2014, Janelle has provided individual, family, group counseling, and coaching services to teens, adults, families, and couples. She has worked across diverse settings, including VNSNY Hospice Bereavement, Pathways to Graduation for re-entry youth, NY Court-mandated Alternative to Incarceration programs, NYC Foster care, and outpatient clinics.

With over a decade of experience in social work, she specializes in a faith-based integrative approach to therapy, combining mental health and spirituality. La Shaun is dedicated to serving and empowering black and brown communities in New Jersey, particularly those facing vulnerability, oppression, and poverty.

She supports clients dealing with various challenges such as trauma, loss, grief, depression, postpartum issues, and other mental health struggles. La Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Montclair State University. She earned her Master of Social Work from Fordham University and successfully defended her dissertation at Regent University earning her Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies.

Sydney Burney is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in both New York and New Jersey. She has worked with populations ranging from children to older adults. Her personal experiences, education, training, and passion in the field led to her attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with certification in Early Childhood Development and then a Master of Science Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy.

For the last decade, Sydney has gained increased knowledge in working with individuals, families, couples, the LGBTQ population, and domestic violence survivors. In working with these populations, she assisted them with navigating through trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, parental challenges, PTSD, and loss/grief. Her theoretical orientation in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, positive affirmations, prayer, persistence, and poetry has assisted her in working effectively with clients. These tools help create an open mind of reframing negative thoughts and actions into positive ones.

She believes that mental health is health and that every client is born with everything they need to succeed on the inside of them, they just need the proper resources and environment to help cultivate those things.
